Red = For Approval Sample
Yellow = For PP Checking
Black Seal = For Testing Sample
Green Seal = For Bulk Reference Sample and Shipping Sample

Stage1: Pre-Production (PP Checking )
This inspection should be conducted prior to production start. At least one garment in size medium (or sample size) should be submitted with a factory self-Inspection report to TCPS. Full size/color sample may be requested for a special program if needed. The sample should be produced at the production factory using actual fabric, trims and machine facilities.
This inspection could be conducted at the factory or local TCPS office.
1. Review the SIP 1 to verify if it is completed.
2. Fabric test report must be ?Satisfactory?.
Key Area to review on Fabric Test Report
1. Fiber Contents (Care Label must be compliance with test report)
- Shrinkage
- Colorfastness to crocking
- Colorfastness to laundering
2. Review factory self-report
3. Check the PP ?Sample to the SIP
- Styling & Construction
- Workmanship Quality
- Measurement
- Fabric quality, color, hand feel, visual appearance
- Garment weight
- Trims function and Quality
- Labeling & Placement
- Safety Concerns ( Small Part, Sharp Point, Lead, Drawstring for Kids?)
Zipper slider dropped when open, caused by stopper style or size is not enough function to hold zipper slider dropped, children may eat it if they pull down zipper slider.
The buckle used on an infants and toddler denim overall skirt was designed with a split at the center front resulting in an unacceptable sharp point where the metal ends meet.

5. Predicate the potential issue and set up action plan for improvement
6. Schedule next Inspection (Initial Inspection) date
7. Complete the Pre-Production Checklist (PP Checking Report) and attach the Yellow seal onto the PP Sample if the sample was accepted
